My only complaint about this gamemode is the fortnite dome. I understand the reason for having it, but I feel like it can get more annoying then helpfully at times. I know removing it is probably not an option, but what if the dome moves slower toward the center of the map?
Some maps already had center of dome moved to a more reasonable spot, usually at lower floor flat area everyone tends to be at, without having any walkable space above center of dome. Mind telling which maps could have center somewhere else?

Is there a place to look at all the map names? I dont remeber each one exactly.

While we are talking about the dome, can we change its color, make it a little more opaque or otherwise increase its visibility? Maybe I'm alone with this problem but I am colorblind and can barely see that stupid dome if the map is too bright

IMO one hale either should be reworked or just removed: Demopan.
I have nothing serious against this hale. He is just bland.

We already have four Demoman hales and Demopan is the only one that doesn't have anything unique about him to bring to the table. He is just a demoknight with super jump and an extended charge that gives him crits even though he can already 1-2 shot every class without it.

It's still more balanced than his old rage where he blinds everyone with trade request spam, but there isn't really anything aside from super jump that separates him from your average demoknight
Totally not late to this reply.

I made 2 VSH pull requests, allowing to jump during charge and instakill charge bash, hopefully that helps the rage a bit more, but i get a feeling sentry will still be a problem.

already mentioned this in a mutual discord with you but yeah, a fleshed out version of this idea would be adding a prefix that stops the shield from breaking just making it act like a normal shield instead of protecting you from one hit whilst you have the clad equipped making "demoknight tf2" a thing in vsh (although demoknight is already diet scout atm).

I had an idea recently as a way to rework the Winstreak system. As of now it's very grindy and almost impossible (unless for great players) to go above 8+ WS. The winstreak system is really more of a chore, you fail once, you go back at the bottom.
So i thought of this:

- Winstreak system removed
- Add a new challenge coin (like the DB challenge one) where you CHOOSE your challenge, which will each give a badge (to replace the WS ones). You can choose :
- To remove a certain chunk of your HP (3 types of difficulties, for example easy : 10% Medium : 25% Hard : 40%
- A no rage mode
(Will add more if i think of new stuff)

I also think the coin should be less expensive than the DB challenge one as it would have more use. I think having it as a coin makes it so you actually choose what you want to challenge yourself with rather than "oh i'll save my WS until i get a map where i can actually win". I spent 3 months saving my 8 WS because of that.

I believe there were old murmurs about someone wanting a universal challenge coin, but it was tossed due to handicapping the team as a whole, but this seems like it could be reasonable

Any chance Sniper's wall climb can be replaced with a grappling hook?
Wall climb makes competent/veteran snipers way too slippery

grappling hook would probably be much worse, imagine if sniper didn't have to be attached to the wall to climb it. that's some scary shit right there. I do agree that sniper tends to get off a little too easy sometimes though. ( don't actually have any suggestions as to how this could be solved though)

I'd rather get rid of Sniper's extra mobility entirely and give him more damage or something else since he's... a sniper. Sniper certainly doesn't need mobility already being potentially the most reliable damage dealing class even after the sniper rifle change.

Could be easily remedied with a cooldown timer and lowering the hook's range (and 100% damage penalty so they can't use it against the hale).

Sniper is a glass cannon, so that makes sense in a way.
But if you're up against two or more snipers who know what the hell they're doing, you either have to trick them into slipping up with their climb (which doesn't always happen), wait for them to run out of health, or die chasing them down so they don't become a problem later

Would agree if not for the fact that not many maps have normally accessible sniping spots they would make it to without extra mobility, and only 125 HP means they will die before reaching it unless they sacrifice their SMG for a Danger Shield.

The grappling hook could work better if adjusted. My aim for this suggestion is to make Sniper less of a pain in the ass, not discourage use of him entirely

I still couldn't see myself why wallclimb is a big deal on how strong it is, but okay.

As much as i had nerfed a lot of stuffs before, if were going to remove wallclimb thats removing one large unique thing sniper has for VSH, which just makes it less fun to play as. I believe that wallclimb is originally made for sniper to reach spots and snipe there, which is reasonable as long as sniper spot is not ridiculously stupid. However using wallclimb to run around and avoid boss attacks, not really an intentional thing and i can see it a little bit of a problem.

There is a lot of melees that help improve wallclimb, and secondarys to survive, those (and stock melee) could be adjusted to be not so annoying when fighting against boss by spam wallclimb. Currently stock allow 8 climbs (not counting fall damage) without picking up health packs, and there secondarys to help survive longer. Somewhere there can be nerfed, while also finding somewhere else to buff.

Try having 2 snipers left alive with over 4000 health and barely winning with 100 health because they keep dancing around buildings like an 80's disco

That's why I suggested giving Sniper the grappling hook to replace his wallclimb. Remove any damage it could deal and not only do you have something less BS to go against as boss, but it would also be really fun to zoom across the map to your desired spot like Spider-Man. Imo that would make Sniper more fun to play as.
Somewhere there can be nerfed, while also finding somewhere else to buff.
I prepared two lists of suggestions, one where it stays and one where it goes. These are based on personal experience with fighting Snipers as boss so take them as you will.
  • Grappling hook replaces wallclimb
  • Range is slightly reduced with 100% damage penalty
  • Grappling hook coexists with wallclimb
  • Grappling hook gets cooldown equal to brave jump cooldown with 100% damage penalty
  • Wallclimb causes more recoil damage, allowing less abuse
  • Would make great carefully chosen wallclimb grapple combos
