Just recently I finished my first real dodgeball map and I'd like to know what y'all think of it.

I'm still very new to map making and I'd like to improve, so criticism is appreciated.

-Added signals to show boost spots
-Added 4 info_observer_point entities
-Removed full health packs
-Changed shapes of the slopes to be more smooth

-Fixed slope length being shorter on one side of the map

The first thing you might want to do is post this as a map release thread in the Gamemodes and Gameplay subforum.

Changes:

-Replaced dev textures and added metal beam textures to platforms

-Extended the length of the map overall

-Added 4 new slopes (2 above and 2 near the middle platform)

-Added spotlights on spawn platforms and middle platform

-Added particle entities to show where the rockets spawn

-Changed skybox to "sky_outpost_01"

Hi @Mecha Koopa,

It seems like tfdb_mechasurfball (the supposedly final version) has a missing skybox and textures (perhaps due to unpacked custom content?). You should fix this if you want the map to be on the servers.


A very unique concept for a TFDB, though.

My apologies. I nearly forgot about this stage, but I believe I may have fixed the issue:

I ran the map in "sv_pure 2" and it seems to work now. The skybox was giving me a ton of issues when packing, so I changed the map's skybox to sky_night_01 as opposed to sky_outpost_01.
